Hello There!
I’m Kimberly, a mom on a mission to bring together everything I love: crafting with my daughter, hanging out with my BABS (that’s Bad Ass Babes, Bad Ass Bitches, and/or Bad Ass Bosses, depending on the day 😉), making memories that stick, and my not-so-secret love of operations. Whatever You Want It To Be is me finally chasing my dream of building something that’s all my own.
I was born in Fremont, CA and raised in the heart of Silicon Valley, in Sunnyvale. By day I’m a paralegal, but operations is where my heart is: give me a plan, a checklist and a room full of moving parts and I’m happy. And any time I can plan a craft time for the kiddos, I’m all about it.
I learned all of this from my many years of being active in my kiddos’ lives. Along the way, I saw the difference it made for them, and that inspired me to keep trying to do more and more for the students in our community. (I’ll be honest, I think I have more fun planning them than the students do attending them!) After a few years of hard work, I was honored to receive a Senate recognition from Senator Aisha Wahab for my work in our community.
I also spent four years working for The Grateful Garment Project, and the impact of that work is immeasurable. The team there showed me that just a few dedicated people can make a real, honest difference in their community. I believe you have to build the community you want to see around you, and that’s exactly what I’m doing here.
Who we’re here for:
This is a place for crafters, moms, moms with ADHD, crafter moms with ADHD, humans with ADHD, and anyone who knows the thrill of buying all the craft supplies… right before the dopamine rush fades and they end up in the junk drawer, the desk, the hall closet, the kitchen table (or, let’s be honest, the trash). No judgment here. We’ve all been there! We’re here to help you actually make those memories you were dreaming of when you hit “add to cart.”
Making art for every kid:
Art is such a big part of life. It gives us a way to express who we are, and too many kids today don’t get that chance. So with every $10 membership, a portion goes toward an art pack for a child who needs one. Do something for you, and do something for someone else.
Our art festival, all year long:
Some of my best memories are of crafting with friends and family, and every year I couldn’t wait for Sunnyvale’s Hands-On Art festival. Sadly, there isn’t an art festival running 365 days a year… so we’re making one online! It’s a place to come together, share the beautiful things you’ve made, and be proud of every glue-covered, glitter-dusted creation.
Made with scraps, patience and a little glue. 💚
